Hello, my name is Sherrie Virakpanyou, MSW, LICSW. I am committed to empowering individuals through therapy, helping you navigate your ‘lived experiences’ with acceptance, understanding, and grace. Therapy, first and foremost, is a way to relieve that sense of aloneness and form a trusting, collaborative relationship with someone who accepts you just as you are.
In addition to my clinical training, I bring lived experience to my work. I’m a preemie mom to a NICU graduate, the daughter of refugee parents, and someone who grew up on an apple farm, where I learned the value of perseverance through long hours of hard work. I’ve also experienced traumatic grief and loss; these parts of my story shape my deep empathy and connection with those navigating pain, uncertainty, and transition.
My goal is to guide you on a journey of personal growth, healing, and change, while providing a nonjudgmental, compassionate, and safe space that encourages curiosity and mindfulness as you embrace your unique path to wellness. With grace and humility, I aim to inspire growth, healing, and transformation, helping you discover your unique strengths and resilience. Let me assist you in gaining a better understanding of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, their meanings, and how they relate to your current struggles and challenges.
